This postcard shows a Southern Airways plane cruising over downtown Atlanta.

The aircraft is a Martin 404.

The back of the postcard reads: "Air Conditioned - Pressurized - Radar Equipped.  You will enjoy an aristocrat flight for it is a delightful experience in Southern Hospitality combined with the extra luxury of the Martin-404 aircraft which has won the affection of travelers everywhere.  Southern Airways, Atlanta Airport, Atlanta, Georgia."

David Henderson:  "This photo, looking north, shows the terminal's 6 concourses, from left to right: concourses A through F.  Interstate 85 is under construction in the background.  At the left, Eastern Airlines built a new hangar on the site of the 1948 terminal, while the Eastern Airlines Terminal and 1932 terminals are still standing near the end of concourse F on the right.  In this photo, the propeller airplanes still outnumber the jets by about 5 to 1, a ratio that would change dramatically in a few short years."
