In 1968, Delta added distinctive and futuristic-looking rotundas, with six gates, to concourses E and F.

This mid 1970's postcard shows Eastern 727's lined up along concourse B.  Surprisingly, jetways were never added to concourses B, C, or most of D.  Until the terminal closed in 1980, passengers at those gates boarded from ground level using stairs, quite unusual for one of the world's busiest airports, even by the standards of the late 1970's.
