Over on the left the Greyhound rollercoaster is visible. At the time of shooting Smokey And The Bandit, the coaster was not operating. It was given a fresh coat of paint for the filming and is visible in several scenes. The roller coaster's demolition was filmed for a scene in Smokey And The Bandit II (1980). While the original movie was a fun and unpretentious romp, the two sequels aren't so hot. Proceed with caution if you decide to view them.
