Previously, you've enjoyed our exploration of local night clubs offering "go go" themed entertainment. Well, I guess I assume you enjoyed them, but I really have no way of knowing. Let me just say, I enjoyed them and I hope you did as well. If you did, perhaps you will also dig all the old ads I've excavated for nightclubs hopping on the twist bandwagon that swept the nation (the world?) in 1961 and 1962.
And just in case you didn't already know, Hank Ballard, the author of The Twist and without whom none of this nonsense would've been possible, is buried right here in Atlanta. Not only that, he was an Atlanta resident in the mid 1960's to boot!
