The Ponce de Leon Ball Park, directly across Ponce de Leon Avenue from the Sears building, was a magnificent minor league baseball stadium that served for several decades as the home field for the Atlanta Crackers. The park had seating for 20,000 fans and was also used as the home park for the Atlanta Spartans, a semipro football team. In addition to sporting events, the Ponce de Leon Ball Park hosted other events such as rodeos and concerts. Featured below are links to some vintage advertisements for events held at the Ponce de Leon Ball Park. The site is now a shopping center.
