Here's a June 1973 photo of the
construction phase of the Colony
Square ice skating rink, which featured 8,000 square
feet of ice and was officially known as the Colony Square Ice
Capades Chalet. The rink, located in the atrium of
the complex's main building, didn't last terribly long.
In 1978, it was closed and the space was given over to a food
court and some retail shops.
