The Domino Club was billing itself as Atlanta's home of "topless 'a go-go." Singer La Verne Baker (her name is sometimes spelled differently) was the featured entertainer this particular week. Baker recorded several rhythm & blues hits for the Atlantic label in the late 1950's, including Jim Dandy, Soul On Fire, and Tweedle Dee. In 1991, Baker was voted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
