This mid 60s postcard shows the view
looking northwest toward the heart of downtown from the
top of the old
City Hall building on Mitchell Street.
My guess is that this photo was taken right around
1965, based on the presence
of the 40 Marietta Building (formerly the First
Federal Savings & Loan) which was
completed in 1964 and the absence of the State of Georgia Building (formerly the First National Bank
Building), which was
completed in 1966.
