Sears building on Ponce de Leon Avenue. The minor league baseball team the Atlanta Crackers played their home games in this long gone ballpark until 1964. For their final season in 1965 they played in the brand new Atlanta Stadium, built for the Milwaukee Braves who relocated to Atlanta in 1966. The site of the old ballpark is now a vast shopping center, the parking lot of which is visible in the photo below. Date: 1950
