The Imperial Hotel was completed in 1911 at the intersection of Peachtree Street, Ivy Street (now Peachtree Center Blvd), and Forrest Avenue (now Ralph McGill Blvd). At the time, this location was considered to define the northernmost limits of the city's northward expansion. Over the years, several clubs and restaurants operated with the Imperial.
