This postcard shows the Connally Building, designed by NY architect W. L. Stoddart, who was also responsible for two other notable buildings that still stand: the Ponce de Leon Apartments and the Georgian Terrace Hotel.  This building, which started its life as a 5 story structure, was expanded  to 15 stories sometime in the mid to late 1980's.  Thanks to reader Jason H. for his help in nailing down the date of the expansion.         Google map
