Carlton Motel, Jonesboro

The Carlton Motel (6400 South Expressway) was located six miles south of Atlanta city limits in Jonesboro on US Highway 41. Across the street, according to the back of the postcard (visible below), was a golf course, though I have no idea what that that course might've been. In any event, I am pretty sure the golf course, like the Carlton Motel, is long gone. Incidentally, the back of the card seems to indicate that the motel could be found at the intersection of US 41 and I-75, and an examination of that spot on the map makes it look like the location might be closer to Riverdale than Jonesboro, though businesses in that area do seem to have Jonesboro addresses.
