In this scene, Frank Mansfield (Oates) departs after losing a huge bet with Jack Burke (Harry Dean Stanton). Stanton can be seen standing in the door of the trailer on the far end of the lot. Not only did Oates wager his car and trailer, but his girlfriend Dody as well. She's seen here registering her dismay at the entire messed up situation. Dody was played by Laurie Birds, a New York actress who was, at the time, the girlfriend of director Monte Hellman.
