This imposing building, overlooking the intersection of Peachtree Circle and 17th Streets, was once part of Miss Woodberry's School For Girls, a private college preparatory school. Woodberry Hall, pictured in the postcard below, was used to board students who did not live at home. The school was started by principal Rosa Woodberry in 1908 and moved to this location in 1914. Gone With The Wind author Margaret Mitchell was once a student here. I'm not sure what year the school folded, but the building is currently used for rental apartments. Scroll down for a couple of current photographs. GOOGLE MAP
The two color photos above were taken Jan. 28, 2010.
