Skyline view from Ga. Tech, 1967

This photo, taken in the fall of 1967 from the roof of the brand-new Physics Building on the Georgia Tech campus, shows the view looking south and east toward the vicinity of Peachtree Street and Ponce de Leon Avenue, about where downtown gives way to midtown. The Life of Georgia Building, which officially opened in 1968, looks to the naked eye from this distance like it may already be more or less complete. And just to the left of the Life of Georgia Building, we can see the spine of the circular C&S Bank tower as it's being constructed.
