Ralph McGill, who was born in a small Tennessee farming community called Igou's Ferry about 25 miles north of Chattanooga, explains his fondness for his adopted hometown of Atlanta. This appeared in a 1950 brochure called "Atlanta - Where To Go, What To Do, What To See," compliments of the Zachry clothing store at 85-87 Peachtree Street.
