Thomas & Turpin - Marietta Girls DOWNLOAD
In 1985, Thomas
& Turpin, a duo about whom I know nothing, released this
send-up of the Beach Boys' 1965 smash California Girls,
rewritten for the occasion as a salute to the Marietta gals
who, if T&T are to be believed, sort of had the market
cornered in the Atlanta metropolitan beauty
department. And while the Marietta Girls might have been
the the apex of beauty and charm, the ladies of East Point ,
Jonesboro and Roswell were also given nods, as were the
Snellville farmers' daughters!
