Atlanta Airports postcards

Two postcards are below. The top one shows an aerial photo, probably from around 1976. At the top of the photo is the new control tower, built in the mid 70's.

The postcard above shows a mid-60's view of the airport and demonstrates the increasingly crowded conditions that resulted in aircraft crammed into any available spot. When larger jet airliners came on the scene, the situation grew worse. One of the great features of the 1961 terminal is visible on the right, the observation deck that allowed airport visitors to soak in an unparalleled view of the airport's activities.
