This undated postcard, probably from the 1950s or thereabouts, shows the swanky interior of the Ship Ahoy restaurant after they moved away from the nautical approach seen on this postcard.  The Ship Ahoy, according to the back of the card seen here, had a capacity of 400, so it was obviously pretty spacious.

If you scroll down, in addition to seeing the back of the card, you'll find a few supplemental items, which include a 1961 ad for the restaurant, which at the time was featuring Tillie McNeill on the piano, and a 1956 photo of Luckie Street, which shows the Ship Ahoy's exterior and eye-catching sign.  The 1956 photo appears here courtesy of the Ga.
