Sacred Heart Church

Here's a circa 1920 photograph of Sacred Heart Church, located at 335 Peachtree Center Avenue (formerly Ivy Street). Designed by W. T. Downing, the church, Downing's first major public work, was completed in 1897. He later designed the Wimbish House (1898), the Eiseman Clothing Company building (1901), Trinity Methodist Church (1911), and the First Presbyterian Church (1919).

Behind the church, in the modern photo below, we see the Imperial Hotel, which opened in 1910.
