Seen on this postcard is downtown's Plaza Park, which no longer exists.  The park was opened on the viaduct over the railroad gulch just south of Five Points in 1943.  This area is now a major entrance to Underground Atlanta and goes by the name of Peachtree Fountains Plaza.

Over on the left, we can see the Kimball House hotel, opened in 1885 and demolished in 1959 to make way for a parking deck, which still stands.  The brick building to the right of the Kimball House, which can be seen in the Google Maps photo below, is the only structure seen on the postcard that still stands.     Google map
