This 1978 photo, taken by Dennis Degan from the top of the First Federal Bank building at 40 Marietta St., shows the western edge of the Five Points MARTA station construction project.  The station, which opened in December 1979, has its own Wikipedia page here.  Thanks go out to Dennis for posting this photo on Flickr and for allowing me to share it here.
