Atlanta skyline as seen from the Connector (ca. 1970)

Here is a vintage postcard, probably from around 1970 or so that I find endlessly intriguing due to the vast expanse of grass between the Downtown Connector's northbound lanes and southbound lanes. There's enough real estate there to play a high school soccer game. It's pretty hard to imagine that there was ever a time when Atlanta's freeway lanes took up so little space.
