This mid-1960s postcard displays a striking twilight view of the Georgian Terrace hotel at 659 Peachtree Street NE, billed as being in the heart of the theater district according to the back of the card (below).  Of particular interest, at least to me, is the sign out front for a couple lounges that were set up within the hotel at the time, the Red Carpet and the Purple Poodle.   According to a 1966 ad that can be seen below, the Purple Poodle enticed customers with alluring and somewhat seedy promises of "Special Poodle Dancing" from 5:30pm to 7:00pm.   Google map
