Aerial view postcard from 1980

This aerial postcard depicts downtown as it appeared around 1980. The James H. "Sloppy" Floyd office towers (adjacent to the gold dome of the state capitol) are clearly still under construction. The towers, which house state government offices, opened in 1981. Floyd served in the Georgia House Of Representatives from 1953 to 1974.
